Automatic Themes

Postby newby » Tue Aug 09, 2011 12:34 pm

Hi,

i have a question.

we must set up for every Movie a theme. can it be automatic????

If there is a theme for a movie, swisscenter can automatic insert the right theme for the movie.

can we do this?

regards

It could be automatic, but which image do we select to use as the theme?

This is actually a nice idea. I would say just grab a random one. If we want to change it, it is no more time than we already take to set it up.

I know that both TVDb and TMDb allow users to rate the fanart so I could investigate whether we can determine the highest rated to be used.

Some SwissCenter users don't use themes so I would have to add an option to automatically select one.

My thought a long time ago was to have a central db that could store theme settings such as background and menu placement and for each tv or movie allow people to pull data back from it.

You could have some fancy ajax on the central db to let people simulate how it would look.

That way we could all share in others work to make it look good. You may want different settings per device type......
