Hi,
I tried upgrading to simese 2.5.6, and cannot get it to work. when I choose the confirgure option from the tray icon, I get the following browser error (the url points to: http://localhost:8080/config/index.php

The error is: "Internal error - the directory name is invalid"


can you help? i have tried installing 1.47 after deleteing all the instal and files and now get the same error.

Am running windows XP SP3

Hi,
after installing Simese 2.5.6 I have the same problem! Help!

Hi,

try this:

Open the Simese.ini file and check the path of php.
It should look like this.

; Location of php
PHP=%Application%phpphp-cgi.exe


If not change it, restart SC and try again.

You maybe should use now Marco's new 2.5.7-version, and your problems will be gone!

Hi,Thnaks for the info.
None of the above steps worked. i installed 2.5.7 and also looked at simese.ini and it was OK.

However, i noticed that the directories had been installed as read only. Once I changed their permissions it worked!

Which directories did you make writable? And is your simese.ini located in the program files folder or the AppData..... folder?
