Hi Nigel,
Working with flags for those IDs without translation is very helpfull and an asset above the text files.
A minor issue is that - by working through the xml editor - entering translations takes longer than before as you have to enter and save a specific field before you can continue with the next one. Maybe there's a way to post multiple translations in one time.
All together the language editor is contribution to the SwissCenter config.
