.Vob Playback errors sync errors - 2008/04/15 00:28
Hi, I have ripped about 50 movies straight from DVD to my hard drive. I have used the exact same program with the exact same settings for each rip. (DVD Shrink, de-selected split dvds in 1 gb chucnks) So each dvd is ripped to one .vob in a folder with the title of the movie the name of the folder. I have played back and watched in entirety about 20 movies. In about 4 of the movies the audio seems to continually get off and the movie seems to almost fast forward for a second in random parts. (This is usually when the de-sync of the audio occurs) The only difference in the DVD rips is the compression ratio. However, I have not yet seen a correlation between more compression or less compression equaling more or less fast forward/audio sync errors even though it seems like the player is trying to catch up. The errors have been similar, but minor on several other dvds. Has anyone had this occur yet? Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
I am using a new Showcenter HD 250, the latest simese and swisscenter. I am storing the .vobs on a 1 TB Ethernet mybook and my server computer is a p4 3.4 3 gb with win xp pro.
