What else can I do with TCP port 2020 - 2007/11/26 15:24 Hello all,

I've got a Showcenter-1000g and recently bought myself a new HD TV. I was playing around with the output options on the Showcenter.

I first selected Component-720p and that worked OK, so I thought I'd try Component-1080i... as soon as I selected that, the showcenter stopped responding to the remote control.

Both the showcenter and the remote control work fine... If I keep pressing the buttons on the remote whilst the showcenter is booting up, I manage to get a single keypress through before the unit stops listening to the remote... It seems like when the showcenter generating a 1080i output, it's too busy to bother listening to the remote.

Because the showcenter is actually running OK, I can ping it and connect to it on TCP/2020, and whilst googling I found the Dolby Downmix hack

http://YOUR_SHOWCENTER_IP:2020/set_amx=ON

Does anyone know of any other options which the showcenter supports? Is there a URL which will reset the unit to factory defaults, or change the screen mode? I've spent about 5 days trying Pinnacle support, but they're now saying that I have to return the unit at my own cost so they can 'repair' it. The unit's about 5 years old now, so they'd charge me for the 'repair' and the shipping... I really don't want to send it over to Germany since as far as I can tell there's nothing wrong except the firmware not working properly at 1080i... If I could just switch the output to something else, I reckon all my problems would vanish.

Does anyone have any ideas (no matter how convoluted)... I have access to JTAG hardware if it helps.

Cheers,

Fecn.
