Don't make this mistake... - 2007/06/19 18:33
I decided that it would be a real pain to lose all those 3.99 movies that I have been burning and adding to the media server so I plugged in the 500 gig and started a copy of the movie directory and went to bed.
The next morning (I don't get up early) the thing was not only still copying but it was nowhere near being finished. What the??
Then it hit me that the server is an old machine with USB 1 ports on the front..  
If you really want to see the speed difference between USB 1 and USB 2, try the above...
