Media scan 1 second - then SQL process 5 minutes - 2008/08/09 04:42 Hi all,

while trying to finding out why SC still is only working to about to 50% (no play now screen even with newest beta PCH firmware, no photos) in combination with the Synology NAS DS207+ (Linux) and the PCH I would like to raise one strange issue:

If I start a refresh media for a category (at 10:19:36, pls. see below) with probably 30 files, the scan takes 1 second but afterwards SC is busy for 5 minutes with a SQL process (detected through telnet / top) before it comes back to respond on commands again (at 10:24:50), pls. see the log file excerpt:

[2008.08.09 10:19:36] Refreshing MP3S database
[2008.08.09 10:19:36] Scanning : /volume1/music/Hoerbuecher/
[2008.08.09 10:19:36] Scanning : /volume1/music/Hoerbuecher/The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes - Audiobook/
[2008.08.09 10:19:37] Completed refreshing MP3S database
[2008.08.09 10:24:50] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2008.08.09 10:24:50] Page Requested : http://192.168.0.101:8080/config/index.php?section=MEDIA&action=REFRESH by client (192.168.0.111)

There were no further essential tasks on the NAS at that time!

I guess thatīs not correct?

Regards

Joe
