 Multi Version Fix - 2008/07/30 16:00 Is Marco on vacation (wish I was)

As has been pointed out in other threads, the version 1.45 won't work with the PCH so those folks must use one of the 2.x in order for it to work.

Having these multiple versions floating around is less than ideal.

No biggie as the 2.02 I'm using seems to work fine for both the PCH and Showcenters but was rather surprised that there hasn't been an update. Showcenters 1000g/200/250HD Popcorn Hour A-100

I agree, the problem is I got the idea to rewrite some portions of the code for the tray icon problem and call that version 2.0. I made a start with the code but it stranded half way because of 'other things to do'. I'll see what I can do in the next few days; finish the 'new' 2.0 or release the 'old' 2.0 as official. Maybe I'll rename the old 2.0 to an official 1.6 release and continue the with a new 2.0 beta. Ok, very confusing

 Re: Multi Version Fix - 2008/08/05 07:09 The new version takes a little more time before I can release it. Right now I can move the 2.0.x versions as the default download, but it doesn't have a tray item so this can be very confusing for new users. What do you think?

As soon as I have a new version which can be released for beta testing, I'll let you know.

 Re: Multi Version Fix - 2008/08/11 07:38 I'd keep the 1.45 as the default download. We've recently had a 2.xx user think that Simese had crashed because he didn't see the system tray.

It would be useful to also have the stable 2.02 on your download page and label it as required for Popcorn users with a note that it currently doesn't have the system tray.

At the moment it takes a bit of searching to actually find 2.02 in the forums, and is definitely not clear for new users.
