 Incorrect calculation of video playing time - 2008/01/21 07:38 Hi!

With SwissCenter 1.19.2 the calculation of video playing time on the info screen is faulty. For example, a video running 43m:42s will be shown as 5m:6s.

Can anybody confirm this?

 Re: Incorrect calculation of video playing time - 2008/01/21 08:05 The video running time is obtained by the GetID3 libarary which works very well with avi files but sometimes not too well with mpg and vob. This is a known issue with this library, if the file is variable bitrate then the length is calculated based upon the first bitrate encountered which results in incorrect running time.

What type of files are you seeing incorrect time with?

This is something I intend to look into at some point but is not a high priority item at the moment. Player : Netgear EVA700 & Popcorn A-100 (081106)
Server : Vista SP1 Home Premium (Simese 2.07, SwissCenter current SVN)
Spec : Intel C2Q Q6600, 2GB RAM, 1Tb storage.

These are TV recordings via DVB-T (mpeg transport stream). They have a (dummy) bitrate of 15MBit, but in fact they have a variable bitrate of around 2-3MBit. So that's possibly the reason for the wrong calculation.
