Thanks for the reply. I did create the symlinks for /home, /usr, and /var. I don't think that I can move /var back to hda1 because du -h -c is telling me that it's 345M in size. df -h is telling me that hda1 only has 319M available. I never got fdisk to re-create the partitions the way that I wanted them to, so I probably should have corrected that in the first place. As it stands right now, I've got over 130GB of data, photos, etc. on the box, so doing the firmware upgrade again (or using fdisk to reconfigure the partitions) near the end on the list of things to try. Robert is going to take a look at my setup, and see if he can figure it out....(fingers crossed)
