cant connect swisscenter SC 250HD - No IP ? - 2010/02/22 05:01
Hi folks,
this is my first topic :
greetings to this forum,seems to be a nice place 
My problem and Config :
I can`t connect to simese server per WLAN ,i tried everything i found in the forum,i`ll throw the showcenter out the window....*just kiddin*
I have a PC with Windows 7 as Mediaserver,installed Simese 2.5.1, i connect the showcenter to a netgear WGR 614 router: First Problem :
i see the showcenter in the Netgear Software,but it has NO IP,only the correct MAC adress.all other connections have correct IPs.
i tried automatic and manual IPs.the auto IP seems to fail,the IP range is wrong and the subnet mask shows 255.255.0.0.should be 255.255.255.0 ? and the default gateway is left on 0.0.0.0
manual IPmakes no difference : 192.168.1.102 for showcenter.
I switched of the firewall,no effect.
i tried a direct ad hoc connection to the server per wlan without security.
then i can see 2 entries in the network (only on server PC ) from Pinnacle Showcenter (with MAC ).but cant connect to simese.i added the server manually ( simese,192.168.1.101:8080,allways connect ) ,
no effect.
i have the foobar audio player with Upnp server installed on the server,i can see the service on the showcenter on TV but cant connect too.it shows the value playlist,folder,etc..but on klick : error,not available.cant see the files...
Why the Showcenter gets no IP ? i updated to new firmware : no effect.
ONE Time i saw the movies for one minute after adding the server manually and automatic ip was on.
then i tried annother faster connection ( the ad hoc ).didnt work,so i wanted to use the workin config.i cant get it to work again.grrrrrrrr.
so please,any idea for my problem? i bought the showcenter cos i didn want to work so long on a network player.(i thought about DBOX Modding as a network media player with linux,this would need more time..lol)
