Iso playback - 2010/01/01 03:59 i hate to ask this question about playing iso's but here it is. i have installed SwissCenter and Simese installed on a fedora box running suns virtual box in a virtual win 2003 server with only 10 gigs of space for the OS(80 gig drive total). i have two 1 terabyte drives that i store all my isos on. these drives came from my old wizd server so they are formatted in ntfs. i can read the drives fine from fedora and my 2003 server vm and i am able to write to them from both systems(permissions are good). when i try to configure swiss it will not see my drives as networked drives or local drives(m:\action_movies or l:\comedy_movies or \\vrsrv\movies\....). The only way i can get it to see the drives is to edit the DB and manually insert the share or drive letter. i did test to see if it would work by ripping an iso to a folder with vob files and it will play. when you try to explore in 2003 server the drives will not be in windows network, they are listed under virtualbox shared folders and you can map to them. I created and new vm for wizd and mapped the drives and the iso play fine. i also looked at the support log files and it has "cannot stream dvd from playlist" on all my iso's. the only reason i am trying to switch from wizd is no support and on some iso's i get "cannot playback protected file".

i am consolidating all my servers in to one
vm1 webapps
2003 adv server on a dedicated nic for webapps on a separate vlan 10.

vm2 media server on SC
2003 adv server on a dedicated nic on port 8002 on a separate vlan 192
vm3 media server on wizd
2003 adv server on a dedicated nic on port 8004

Re: Iso playback - 2010/01/01 08:33 SwissCenter is only able to play iso files on NMT devices such as the Popcorn Hour which are able to play iso files natively. To play them on your IO-Data you will have to extract them to VIDEO_TS folders. Players : Netgear EVA700 | Popcorn A-100 (100516) | Popcorn A-200 (100208)
Webserver : Simese v2.6.4 | Apache 2.2.16 | PHP v5.2.12 | MySQL v5.1.32
Server : Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Spec : Intel C2Q Q6600 - 4GB RAM - 4TB HDD
AV : Pioneer VSX-915 | Samsung LE40C650

Re: Iso playback - 2010/01/07 20:55 is there any solution out there that still supports the old iodata avlinkplayer that will handle iso's. i have close to 300 movies so i really do not want to try and convert all of the movies or have to try to mount and iso when i want to watch something. thanks for your help
