Don't know if you found your answer yet, but it's basically a 'no'.
The EVA700 cannot attach to the file system, unlike the EVA8000. You either need to set up something like Swisscenter/Simese to send your media to the player, or set up the built in media streamer on the NAS if it has one (the Netgear ReadyNAS does).
