couple of questions - 2008/09/22 16:03 I've searched and searched the forums, and while I've found many interesting threads, none that really answers my questions:

I run swisscenter on top of lampp on top of ubuntu 8.04 x86/32.

1.)
On my Showcenter 200 I don't see any background images for any styles. I do see cover art though. If I use Swisscenter on my PC directly, everything works. I can not find any errors in the logfiles either. So I guess its a issue with the Showcenter?
I also use wizd to serve content to the showcenter, but with it everyhing is working fine.

2.)
I've edited quite a few of my media, and would like to play with regexps for TV series and whatnot. I dont want to risk losing the data, so I want to export it into those sidecar XML files. I dont see any evidence of it ever actuallz working. Do I need any predicaments?

3.)
I love the way that its now possible to select multiple TV series/episodes and edit the metadata.
Why isn't it possible to update/refresh the TVDB data for a few select ones as well? If a program name was wrong by the parser, its a pain in the neck to go through and chage it all.... or is there another way Im missing?

Other than that: awesome progress with swisscenter, please keep it up!

No known issues with this so could you post your logfile set to level 8.

so I want to export it into those sidecar XML files.
Do you have 'Use XML sidecar files' enabled? The XML files are created whenever the details are edited by the user or when a lookup is performed by a TV or movie parser.

It's on my (long) list of things to do.

Re: couple of questions - 2008/09/23 11:58 Yikes that was fast

Ok, nothing weird at the loglevel 8 when I browse using the SC200.

Code:

  [2008.09.23 17:51:13Page Requested http://192.168.1.59/index.php by client (192.168.1.111) [2008.09.23 17:51:14Stretching /opt/lampp/htdocs//styles/SyKik/bg_index.jpg (1080,640) to (1280,720)

Thats the showcenter alright, at 720p. But the resolution thats reported in the Miscellaneous page under Clients discovered is only: PINNACLE SC200 1080x640.

Anyway, the logo of the showcenter is just stuck as a background, so it isn't in fact displaying anything. I have tried to download and set most of the themes available, always the same result.

This is the agent string of the SC200:
Code:

 Syabas/11-14-051115-03-PIN-230-000/03-PIN (uCOS-II v2.05;NOS;KA9QRes1280x720,HiColorTV Res1280x720www.syabas.com)

Any other ideas to tackle this one?

Ok, I got it about the sidecar files. Where are they being created? I guess where the media is located?

It could be an issue with your cache directory. Can you check to see if it is set correctly in the config pages, and also make sure that the it is writeable for SwissCenter.

Re: couple of questions - 2008/09/24 12:12 It's not the cache.
The files in the res for the SC200 aren't even created. So it seems like a PHP error.
I'll enable PHP debugging/logging to see whats happening in there.

stay tuned.

duh: PHP ran OOM

Code:

[24-Sep-2008 18:17:53PHP Fatal error:  Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 5120 bytesin /opt/lampp/htdocs/base/image.php on line 503

edit:
ok, just in case someone else runs into the same issue. I installed lampp on top of ubuntu 8.04.
It defaults to 8MB memory for php.
The php.ini is located at /opt/lampp/etc/php.ini per default. Just up that limit and you should be fine.
It's hard to spot because php error logging is disabled, and the SC200 doesn't display the PHP errors inline.
