Client Discovered and Playing ISO - 2008/09/19 21:36 Thank you for the continued work on SC.

A few items that I came across while working with SVN 1088.

Clients Discovered was blank with PCH on. However, PCH could see SC and after selecting SC as the source it then showed up on the Clients Discovered.

I could then setup network the shares and search for new media. Going back to the PCH and trying to play an ISO through SC did not work. So then I went to the source page on the PCH and selected the same ISO that I was trying to play and it worked. Since it played, I then tried to play the same ISO again with SC and it worked. I could then select any of the ISOs in the share.

Next, I tried playing an ISO from a second network share, which did not play. So going throught the same steps to get the first share to work the second share played. Then going back the first share it would not play unless the same steps were followed.

Any thoughts on how to make it so that all ISOs are available on multiple shares? Did I set something up wrong?

The client table is filled every time the PCH request an html page. So you probably never used SwissCenter after installation or after the table was cleared.

When playing iso files using http the network share needs to be mounted. This happens when you select it in the source page on the PCH. It is not a SwissCenter specific problem. When the share is mounted you can access its files through http until you power off/reset the PCH. There is no known workaround to perform the mount automatically. Maybe somebody will discover a way.
