Change menu to fit new translations - 2008/09/11 08:49Hi,
with my update to the current svn, i received new german translations which break up the visual appearance of my menu. The translated strings are to long to fit a single row, getting wrapped but the background image doesnt follow this behaviour i would suggest to edit sdmenu.css like this

Re: Change menu to fit new translations - 2008/09/11 15:51Ideally the langauge translator should've checked that the translation fit in the allocated space. Can the offending translation be abbreviated or reworded to fit?Player : Netgear EVA700 & Popcorn A-100 (081224) Server : Vista SP1 Home Premium (Simese 2.06, SwissCenter current SVN) Spec : Intel C2Q Q6600, 2GB RAM, 2Tb storage.

MEDIA REFRESH = Suche nach neuen Medien -> Neue Medien suchen
IMPEXP TITLE = Einstellungen laden/speichern -> Einstellungssicherung (roughly translates to Settingsbackup)
ORG TITLE = Film-/DVD-Details bearbeiten -> Videoinfos bearbeiten (matching the MOVIE OPTIONS translation -> roughly a short version for edit videoinformations)
TV DETAILS = Details zu TV Sendungen eingeben -> Serieninfos bearbeiten (same as for ORG TITLE)
then everything would fit again.
Hope this helps

Re: Change menu to fit new translations - 2008/09/12 07:39Can you post the updated de.xml?
ORG TITLE = Film-/DVD-Details bearbeiten -> Videoinfos bearbeiten
This will revert to 'Edit Video Details' for the next release anyway, no mention of DVD.Player : Netgear EVA700 & Popcorn A-100 (081224) Server : Vista SP1 Home Premium (Simese 2.06, SwissCenter current SVN) Spec : Intel C2Q Q6600, 2GB RAM, 2Tb storage.

Edit: I dont know why the board fucked up, but the file is a .zip containing de.xml, tried downloading, after renaming zip is ok anyway
Edit 2: btw, i think the translation for TV Expressions to TV Begriffe is very irritating! it means "TV Terms" i would suggest using something like "Seriensuchmuster" which would translate to "Series Searchpattern" or "Serienerkennungsmuster" -> "Series detectionpattern"
just my 2 centsPlayer : Pinnacle ShowCenter 250HD (wired) Server : XP Pro SP2+ (Simese 1.45, SwissCenter current SVN) Spec : Intel Pentium D830 (DualCore) 3GHz, 2GB RAM

Re: Change menu to fit new translations - 2008/09/12 07:53The filename must be unique to the whole board, there'll be another de.zip attached somewhere.Player : Netgear EVA700 & Popcorn A-100 (081224) Server : Vista SP1 Home Premium (Simese 2.06, SwissCenter current SVN) Spec : Intel C2Q Q6600, 2GB RAM, 2Tb storage.

If you have further changes to the language then you should post in the Multi-Language Support forum.Player : Netgear EVA700 & Popcorn A-100 (081224) Server : Vista SP1 Home Premium (Simese 2.06, SwissCenter current SVN) Spec : Intel C2Q Q6600, 2GB RAM, 2Tb storage.
