Great work everyone - 2008/05/10 03:17 Great work everyone, these styles are excellent and really help to promote Swisscenter.

Please let me know if there are any extra features you would like to be able to control and I'll try to add them if possible.

For example, I know that Stu2j has asked for the ability to change the background image used for "keyboard" screens.

If you would really like to improve the overall look and feel. Here are my recommendations.

1) On the Main Menu, create an item for "Web Services" and combine Internet Radio, Browse the Web, RSS Feeds, and Weather under this new topic. Of course make the new web menu style configurable.

2) Rename setup to configuration and make it the last item on the Main Menu.

3) Add the user change to the configuration/setup menu,

4) Remove the floating icons at the bottom of the screen as they will no longer be needed.

The above will help to clean up the interface and make things more logical.

Re: Great work everyone - 2008/05/12 15:42 Hi there,

I fully support the change requests from Stu2j, but I would have one more.

Make the sort order of the entries configurable in the configuration screen.

Regards
Carsten

PS: Would it be possible to have the keys 9 and 0 additional be used as page up / page down buttons? They are not used in the list (1-8). I'm using a remote control with no page up / page down and it's in actual fact impossible to hit the page down / page up icons at movie lists etc. with the cursor.

Re: Teaser Screen - 2008/05/16 14:34 I agree with Stu's suggestions.

Also, how about:

1 - Put 'Manage Playlists' into the 'Configuration' menu. It just seems to be a configuration type option to me

2 - Allow the title at the top of each screen to be switched off within a theme. Not if it messes up the position of other screen elements, though

Re: Teaser Screen - 2008/05/16 15:09 Put 'Manage Playlists' into the 'Configuration' menu
I actually like have playlists on the main screen for a variety of reasons but mostly because I have both audio and video which means I get a sub menu and moving it would mean diving through too many menus to load one.

Allow the title at the top of each screen to be switched off within a theme
Be great if you could replace it with an image (kinda like they did with the tv banners). Then you could simply use a transparent gif to block it out without affecting the rest of the screen or use an actual image to enhance the theme.

A good example would be instead of "Listen to LastFM Station", you could actually replace it with the Last.FM logo.

All images gratefully accepted We're developers not artists, so if anyone has some image suggestions then I'm sure we could do something with them.
