no image are shown nor buttons - 2008/09/29 14:22 Hi all,
Just signed in to the forum. So forgiven me if I ask a questions which was answered somewhere.

I use the SwissCenter on a OpenSuSE 11.0 with a streaming client MC500.
Unfortunately all images are not shown nor the background. The same happens on a firefox browser. I assume there is only a small things to be changed in the apache-configuration otherwise others would have the same problem with apache and SuSE.

Any help would appreciated to solve or get closer to the "problem".

Kind regards Zbindi

Re: no image are shown nor buttons - 2008/09/29 15:18 I think the traditional question is " is your cache directory writable ?"

Look in advanced options cache settings ?

Re: no image are shown nor buttons - 2008/10/02 14:36 Hi,

I've checked regards the rights. All seams to be ok (see also attached screen shot).Futhermore the cache directory has a couple of files which starts with Swisscenter_download and ends with a randomized number. There exist another sub directory within the cache dir called rss, which contains files too.

So any other ideas why the pictures/icons are not shown?

Thanks for your help.

Regards Zbindi

Re: no image are shown nor buttons - 2008/10/02 19:24 Generic questions again, could you attach your apache access and error logs, atleast a chunk of them.

Can you turn logging to 8 ( Information, support Info ) and post the support.log

Re: no image are shown nor buttons - 2008/10/03 07:46 Except for the writing rights of the cache, you can also check whether the path pointing at the cache in the config menu is correct. Sometimes it gets corrupted after an update.

regards, Klaas

Re: no image are shown nor buttons - 2008/10/05 07:52 I would also check the php.ini to ensure enough memory is being allocated to be able to manipulate the images. Player : Netgear EVA700 & Popcorn A-100 (081106)
Server : Vista SP1 Home Premium (Simese 2.07, SwissCenter current SVN)
Spec : Intel C2Q Q6600, 2GB RAM, 1Tb storage.

Re: no image are shown nor buttons - 2008/10/20 14:38 Hi,
Thanks for the tip. After I changed the Log to level 8, I saw the following error in the log:
_______________________________________________________________

[2008.10.20 19:52:14] Page Requested : http://pdc:8100/ by client (21.0.0.120)
[2008.10.20 19:52:14] Unable to perform image functions - PHP compiled without 'gd' support.

[2008.10.20 19:52:14] Unable to perform image functions - PHP compiled without 'gd' support.
_______________________________________________________________

Now it was easy.
I just went to YAST (as I use OpenSuse) and installed "PHP-GD" extension. Now everything seams to be fine.

Thanks a lot for the great hints.
